Anita Sekyra works as a higher educational developer at the Center for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Saxony (HDS). Her work focuses on quality development, student participation and Scholarship of Academic Development (SOAD).

The Corona crisis forced teacher and students on many universities to cope with the situation of having to convert their predominantly analogue teaching to digital formats within a short period of time. But where to start? How to keep an overview? How to ensure that the specific offer also fits the own university, teaching and learning context?

To get an answer on this Anita Sekyra started an initiative in April 2020 in a very pragmatic and collaborative way. It started with a simple structured page in an online whiteboard and went on to a complex collaboratively grown collection of research project and results about learning and teaching during pandemic. Everybody was invited to read, add and comment. Please find the white board here (in german). The aim was not only to provide a central collection of current, relevant studies. The online whiteboard also creates a basis for discussion on the impact of the Corona crisis on higher education teaching and its support structures.

In the joint keynote we would like to discuss with Anita how she coordinated such a collaborative project with person she never meet before, about struggles and learnings collecting data in such a manner and her finding about collaborative research.
